How to Recycle: Drop Off

DROP OFF ONLY

Corrugated Cardboard:

Cardboard is not accepted curbside but can be dropped off at the Recycle Center or community drop off centers. Corrugated cardboard is two layers with air space and ribs between the layers.

  • Please remove any plastic or metal parts first.
  • Please break down all boxes.
  • Large cardboard items should be cut into sections no larger than 5 feet by 4 feet.
  • Non-corrugated cardboard goes in with mixed paper.
  • Wax coated cardboard (used in shipping produce and meat) is not recycled and should be thrown out.
  •  WE DO NOT ACCEPT pizza boxes.

Glass Diversion Program:

Glass is not accepted curbside but can be dropped off at the Recycle Center or community drop off locations. Glass IS picked up at local businesses. To arrange for business pick up, please call Clear Creek Disposal at 726-9600.

                • Please remove lids – Glass must be separated from all other material.
                • When glass is not properly separated, it creates a safety hazard to staff, contaminates the other recycle materials and can damage sorting machinery.
                • There is currently no market for us for glass therefore it is diverted from the solid waste stream at Milner Butte Landfill, not recycled. It is NOT placed in the landfill.
                • Diverted glass becomes inert fill at the Ohio Gulch Construction and Demolition pit.
