Yard Waste

Yard debris is a valuable resource. Although most yard debris can be added to a home compost system, sometimes homeowners generate more organic waste than they can handle. In this case, you can opt for curbside yard debris pickup.

Proper Disposal

Collection Facilities Accept:

  • wood (less than 18″ diameter and 8′ in length)
  • christmas Trees
  • grass Clippings
  • leaves
  • untreated scrap wood

Do NOT Accept:

  • chemically treated yard waste
    • e.g. pesticides and insect control
  • christmas tree lights
  • plastic bags

  • Carey Transfer Satiation (1675 South 1800 East, Carey) 

Add Your Business:

If your business reuses, recycles or safely disposes of an item that is on the A to Z list, or an item you feel should be on the A to Z list, complete the attached Vendor Application Form and e-mail it to:submissions@5BRecycles.org.

Add a New Material:

If there is an item that you would like to see added to the A to Z list, e-mail the name of the item to: submissions@5BRecycles.org. We will do the research to see what local disposal options are available.
